Jesus transforms the disappointed faith of his disciples by opening their eyes, opening the scriptures and opening their minds to understand the scriptures. They finally see Him as a living being, they reflect on the bigger picture of His story and see how it connects with the story of sin and redemption. Finally they understand what it is all about as He builds their faith into steadfast faith.
